To this end the Samson Expedition XP308i Portable PA System works wonders. Not only does it let me yodel over some of the finest 80s prog around, but should I decide to plug in actual instruments and butcher "Frame by Frame" even further, I can! And with 300 watts of of power and a pair of 2-way speaker cabinets at my disposal, no neighbor is safe from my "tribute" performance. But the best part is the way the Samson XP308i assembles into one, easily portable unit for making my quick getaway when and angry mob of odd-time-signature-haters storms my apartment. Thanks, Samson!

Yamaha STAGEPAS 300 Portable PA System OverviewThe STAGEPAS 300 was the first in the line of complete compact PA system offerings from Yamaha. It was designed to give quality minded musicians, performers, speakers and other presenters a solution for their smaller performances, without sacrificing high fidelity and professional appearance. The mixer of the STAGEPAS 300 also contains the two 150 watt digital power amplifiers, and it resides in the back of one of the two passive loudspeakers that complete the system. The other loudspeaker has a convenient accessory compartment for the included speaker cables or other gear. This mixer has 8 total inputs. 4 are mono and can accept either microphone or line level instruments, and there are two stereo inputs to accept line level stereo sources like keyboards or CD players. Digital reverb is included onboard the mixer along with EQ or tone controls. In addition to providing simple operation, the mixer will operate installed in the speaker cabinet, out on a table or on a microphone stand with the optional adapter. Simple quarter turn fasteners allow easy removal and replacement with a coin.. Sorry for the noise in the beginning, i'm trying to go digital and was having some noise over the line. And yes, I know I had a timing problem in the first verse, but it wasn't major enough to redo it I didn't think. Check out my playlist titled Originals for some original songs! In this playlist, it is me and my best friend, Tony, doing an acoustic set of some of our original songs. Me in my garage messing around with some Karaoke. This is my rendition of Torn by Creed. If you have shitty PC speakers, give headphones a try for a better sound. If you'd like to see more, i'll be uploading a bunch of these...just have a look at my profile. I'm using a Sony Cybershot(DSC-P200) 7.2 megapixel camera to shoot the video...wanted to see how good it would sound in an enclosed room with the music blaring. While it's no professional recording, I cannot believe how decent the sound came out on this CAMERA video...about 2 feet from the blasting speakers too. The EMX5016CF is a stereo powered mixer with 16 inputs, two separate built-in digital effects and two 500-watt amplifiers. It is housed in a sturdy chassis that is optionally rack mountable. The mixer section is a 16- input stereo design that has 4 aux sends, 2 for the internal effects and 2 monitor sends, switchable pre or post fader. Inputs 1-8 have 3-band EQ with sweepable mids. Inputs 9/10 to 15/16 have 3-band EQ with fixed mid frequency. All 8 mono channels are also equipped with easy to use single knob compression to get the most from vocals and other dynamic inputs. The effect sends are routed to the dual built-in DSPs that provide 2 high quality effects (16 presets each) based on Yamaha’s popular SPX-series effect processors. Digital 9-band EQ on the Stereo bus allows you to tailor and adjust for different venues and setups, and save these settings in one of three user memories. A maximizer is also available on the stereo bus to enhance the overall output. Assuring the EMX 5016CF will grow with you, the two amplifiers can easily be switched to accept the main stereo left and right outputs, allowing 500-watts for each main speaker, have the main output routed to one amplifier, allowing the other to be used for the monitors, or both channels can be used for monitors. The amplifier section uses Yamaha’s proprietary YSP, or Yamaha Signal Processing circuitry to optimize performance with Yamaha Club Series speakers. The EMX5016CF uses small, quiet fans to keep the amplifiers cool. A power mode switch allows the two amplifier channels to be used with the stereo outputs, drive main speakers and separate monitor mixes, while power amp mode selector switches allow the user to configure the amp channels to suit a range of applications. For sound shaping and feedback control, the EMX5014C includes 3-band EQ on each input channel, a stereo 9-band graphic EQ on the main stereo output, and a separate graphic for the monitor output. Each channel also contains a Feedback Channel Locator FCL indicator that pinpoints the input channel creating the problem. Additionally, channels 1 thru 6 provide single knob compressors. This Yamaha exclusive feature is great for controlling unruly vocals or tightening up a bass guitar. Onboard signal processing includes a selection of 16 professional-grade programs reverb, echo, chorus, flanger, phaser, drum ambiance and distortion from Yamahas renowned SPX series processor products. In addition, onboard proprietary YSProcessing tailors the signal for optimum use with Yamahas Club Series loudspeakers. The STAGEPAS 500 was developed after numerous requests from end users who liked the STAGEPAS 300, but wanted just a little more. A little more power, larger woofers, more inputs were all addressed in the STAGEPAS 500. Designed to give quality minded musicians, performers, speakers and other presenters a solution for their smaller performances the STAGEPAS 500 delivers without sacrificing high fidelity and professional appearance. The mixer of the STAGEPAS 500 also contains the two 250 watt digital power amplifiers, and it resides in the back of one of the two passive loudspeakers that complete the system. The other loudspeaker has a convenient accessory compartment for the included speaker cables or other gear. This mixer has 10 total inputs. 4 are mono and can accept either microphone or line level instruments, and there are three stereo inputs to accept line level stereo sources like keyboards or CD players. Digital reverb is included onboard the mixer along with EQ or tone controls. In addition to providing simple operation, the mixer will operate installed in the speaker cabinet, out on a table or on a microphone stand with the optional adapter. Simple quarter turn fasteners allow easy removal and replacement with a coin.. The loudspeakers systems offer an 10” long travel woofer and 1” titanium high frequency driver assuring full fidelity sound. The travel cases are custom fit to the STAGEPAS 500 and make transporting the system a breeze.
